About the Artist

Seneca Creek Studios’ owner and lead artist, Allison Pluda, is an award winning fine art nature, portrait, and commercial photographer and designer with over 15 years of experience who offers the highest quality prints and services with a uniquely professional and personal touch. Allison lives at the base of the mountains outside of Laramie, Wyoming and is best known for her landscape and starscape photography of the Rocky Mountains, Wyoming, and the West as well as her unique portrait work. Her favorite medium is her signature fine art metal prints but she also creates traditional darkroom silver halide photographic prints as well as cards, ornaments, and posters.

Her artwork is part of private collections worldwide, has been displayed in numerous fine art galleries, shows, and exhibitions as well as published in a variety of magazines, books, and other mediums. Her work has been featured in many publications and organizations, including Forbes, Wyoming Wildlife Magazine, Tenkara USA, Wired.com, The Nature Conservancy, The Geological Society of America, the University of Wyoming among many others.

Allison started Seneca Creek Studios in 2007 and brings over a decade of her professional experiences to life with her natural, vibrant, genuine, and adventurous style. She eventually gave up her corporate career in geology to follow her dreams and became a professional artist and small business owner. She hasn’t looked back since and truly puts her heart and soul into every photograph, project, and client she works with. She now runs her online fine art gallery, portrait photography business, and visual marketing and design studio full-time.

Artists Statement

Allured by Wyoming’s big mountains and dark skies, Allison strives to bring my experiences to life using the medium of fine art photography. She am continually exploring new printing techniques that are able to communicate the same colors she saw in person. She enjoys printing on metal the best, since she feel like her signature aluminum prints have the most vivid colors, the more realistic crisp sharpness, and convey the overall look and luminescence of the light she saw in person the most accurately. Her work uses minimal post production or computer editing, since personally she would much rather be photographing than inside behind a screen. Most of her photographs are processed using traditional digital darkroom techniques using Adobe Lightroom alone.

Whether she am on a hike outdoors or photographing a woman in the studio, her goal is to help you, the viewer, reconnect with the same natural and genuine beauty that she see in both nature and people alike. She strives to create the best quality archival fine art prints and products that remind others to take a moment to celebrate and enjoy the beauty in life. She tries to bring the same passion she feel when gazing at the stars or witnessing a breathtaking sunrise to every fine art print or portrait. Her goal is that my work solicits emotions of awe, beauty, and authenticity.
